Dr. Brie Anne Mauser, DVM, MS, ACVIM (Neurology)
Dr. Mauser grew up in a small West Virginia town, Sutton, which is the geographic center of the mountain state. In 2004, she graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics. After determining that animals were more intriguing than numbers, Dr. Mauser continued her education at West Virginia University earning a Master’s Degree in Agriculture with a focus on animal physiology and microbiology. During this time, she applied to and was accepted into the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She then moved to Akron, OH and completed a one-year rotating internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, during which time she realized an avid interest in small animal neurology. Currently she is pursuing a three-year neurology/neurosurgery residency program under the direction of Dr. Todd Axlund. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her boyfriend, also a veterinarian, and rescued pitbull, Reggie.
