Dr. Dantio is a board-certified small animal neurologist. She is originally from Cleveland and is excited to return home after many years away. She graduated from Wittenberg University in 2010 and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2014. After graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Dantio completed two 1-year internships, including a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists, followed by a neurology and neurosurgery internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. She returned to Carolina Veterinary Specialists in 2016 for a 3-year neurology and neurosurgery residency program. She continued to practice at Carolina Veterinary Specialists for the next three years. Dr. Dantio’s primary area of interest is spinal surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, their dog (Jim), cat (Phyllis), and other family and friends.
