Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital
Blood Bank
This service is offered at our Cleveland East location.

At Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, we are excited to offer an in-house Blood Bank.
With our team of heroic animal life savers, we are able to offer transfusion medicine at both Akron and Highland Heights locations.
All of our donors go through meticulous screenings and have amazing temperaments.
We are still accepting canines into our donor program this year.
Please complete our Blood Donor Questionnaire to see if your pet is a candidate for our program.
Benefits of being a blood donor:
An annual physical exam by a licensed veterinarian
Annual bloodwork, at no cost to the pet owner, and results shared with your family veterinarian

Health Screening Appointments
If your pet meets the eligibility requirements, contact us to set up a health screening appointment. During the health screening, we will obtain a small amount of blood from your pet. Once we determine that your pet is an eligible donor, we will contact you to set up the first donation appointment.
