Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital

The Good Samaritan Program at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital

Through our Good Samaritan program, Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital provides emergency treatment for animals who arrive critically ill or severely injured with no one to care for them. These patients are often brought in by compassionate community members who refuse to leave them suffering. Because our resources are limited, we are only able to accept Good Samaritans that require immediate, life-saving medical attention. As our Good Samaritan program is focused on urgent, critical care, we are unable to admit animals who are otherwise healthy or stable. We will, however, connect you with community partners who specialize in providing the care and housing these animals need. Please continue reading to view a list of our amazing community partners below.

Community Resources

If the animal you’ve found does not qualify for our Good Samaritan program, there are still many compassionate organizations in our community that can help. Below you’ll find a list of rescues, shelters, and animal control partners who specialize in supporting healthy stray animals and pets in need of new homes. By working together, we can ensure that every animal has access to the right care and the best chance for a safe future.
