Megan Stuart
Dr. Stuart was born and raised in Connecticut. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at the University of Vermont (Go Catamounts!), she pursued her veterinary education at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Stuart has completed a small animal rotating internship at the Tufts Veterinary Emergency Services in Walpole, Massachusetts. Dr. Stuart continued to follow her passion for surgery and completed surgical specialty internships at Veterinary Specialty Center (Bannockburn, IL), The Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island (West Islip, NY), and then came to Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. She has enjoyed spending time in Northeast Ohio, working with the team, and is staying for her surgical residency.
Dr. Stuart’s interests include thoracic procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and client education for surgical procedure understanding and post-operative management. Dr. Stuart also has a history of working with wildlife animals throughout vet school and has participated in some exotic, zoo, and aquatic animal surgeries throughout her various internships. Outside of work, Dr. Stuart enjoys hanging out with friends and family, bowling, baking, and crocheting. She is often serving as an emotional support human for her rescue dog Beatrice; going on hikes and driving around to find new adventures!
